Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

 

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion distribute the Body of Christ during Mass as well as to parishioners who are sick, homebound and who reside in area nursing homes. Being an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion requires a commitment to serve one another. images

During special liturgical events they may also distribute the Blood of Christ, Ashes on Ash Wednesday and assist with the Blessings of the Throats.  Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are certlic Church, please contact the Parish Office. Training will be providedified through the Diocese of Providence for a renewable five-year term

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion join in the procession at the beginning and end of Mass.  When proceeding to the altar, the Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, wearing approved attire, walks behind the Lector and upon reaching the altar makes a profound bow with the others and returns to his/her pew.
